Kidneys..

Well since he is sleeping at the moment I will neglect the house a little longer and write a couple updates!! :)

Back when I was pregnant a Dr. noticed during an ultrasound that Cameron had some urine backed up in his kidneys and informed me that the problem looked really slight but we should probably get it checked on after he was born. So between conventions I took him in for a ultrasound and we discovered that he had mild dilation on both sides, with one side being a little bit worse then the other. So an appointment was made with an urologist and after looking at the ultrasound he said that we were just going to wait until he is four months old and then do another ultrasound to see if the problem was still there or not. He said that we have to remember we would never have known that he had this problem if not for the ultrasound and that it might just clear up. But if not he thinks that it might be mild reflux where urine is going back up from the bladder to the kidneys. But if that's the case it's very mild and so we'll wait and see. If the problem is still there at 4 months then he'll insert a catheter and put dye into his bladder and see what happens. Then we'll go from there!!

But because of his issues circumcision was highly recommended to cut down on the risk of UTI's (bladder infections). Which was fine because we had planned to have him circumcised but were waiting to see what the urologist advised. So, he gave us the name of a Dr. that only does circumcisions which I liked because it meant he knew what he was doing, did it every day, and there was less risk that he would mess up. Everything went really good, although Cameron peed all over the place after the Dr de-diapered him, pooped during the procedure, and had gas afterwards. The poop and gas made him bleed more then they wanted him to, so they had to wrap his privates in a special gauze so that he wouldn't keep bleeding. I almost fainted when they were trying to fix the to much blood issue, because I was just standing by a changing table. I am not sure why but seeing his privates all bloody really made me woozy.
